Ethnic Profiling

Ethnic profiling has attracted increasing amounts of media attention in recent years. A case at the Administrative Court of Koblenz, in which the judge acknowledged ethnic profiling as an acceptable means of conducting police work, was greeted with incredulity by NGOs. In the following pages, the phenomenon of ethnic profiling and its effects on those affected and on society will be explored. You will find information on the legal framework in Germany and the situation in other European countries.

You can find information on the subject of ethnic profiling and on the work being done by NGOs here as well as references to studies, reports and links to further information on the subject.
