Intergovernmental monitoring systems observe developments as well as the implementation of human rights standards set by the UN or the Council of Europe, which also include equal treatment and non-discrimination.

The UN Committee on the Convention for the Elimination of Racial Discrimination (CERD) has the role of undertaking assessments concerning the fight against racism at the national level.

In order to submit it to the UN Human Rights Council, the UN special correspondent on contemporary forms of racism developed a report on racial profiling. BUG could contribute to this report (see here).

At the Council of Europe level, the European Committee against Racism and Intolerance (ECRI) is the body which analyses issues related to racism.
