People with chronic diseases are discriminated by private insurance companies. This includes life insurance, disability insurance or accident insurance. Anyone who wants to take out such insurance must fill out a questionnaire and answer questions about their health. Among other things, it is asked whether the person is suffering from a chronic disease. When the answer to this question is positive, an increase of premiums or denial by the insurance company to complete the contract usually follows.
